0

Adding a soundbar to your flat-panel TV can be a great way of enhancing your home cinema experience. With its three new Z-base soundbar models, ZVOX plans to make soundbar systems affordable for all. The Z-base models manufactured by ZVOX are single sound systems and can deliver top quality 3D surround sound without any external speakers and connecting cables. The new entry-level Z-base systems comprise of a subwoofer, three full-range speakers, and an amplifier, packed into a small box, the size of a DVD player. And the best part is that these systems deliver high quality sound, and have a starting price of just $200.

Great sound at affordable prices

ZVOX had recently announced launch of three new Z-base soundbar systems – Z-base 220, Z-base 320, and Z-base 420. These Z-base soundbars would be launched around Christmas time in 2012, are the most affordable soundbar systems that ZVOX has to offer. Seem like the perfect gifts for Christmas next year, don’t they?

Z-base 220

The Z-base 220 soundbar system is priced at $199.99 and can fill your home theatre room with 3D surround sound with just a cable and DVD player sized box. The soundbar is a single cabinet with dimensions 17″ x 14.5″ x 3.4″. It can be easily placed on the TV cabinet, or below slim or flat-panel TVs, ranging between 22″ and 32″ in size. Besides the 5.25 inch subwoofer, and 3 surround speakers, the Z-base 220 also has an in-built 35 watt amplifier.

Z-base 320

The Z-base 320 is a single unit that is 24 inches wide and 11.5 inches deep, which makes it easier for it to fit-in anywhere. Despite its conveniently small size, the Z-base 320 can comfortably hold the weight of flat-panel TVs ranging between 27 inches and 46 inches in size. This Z-base model also comes packed with the 5.25 inch subwoofer and three full range speakers, but has a 40-watt amplifier to go with them.  The cost of this model is $249.99, which is slightly higher than that of 220.

Z-base 420

The Z-base 420 is the most expensive of the three, and is priced at $299.99. Like the 220 and 320 Z-base models, Z-base 420 is also a single unit and consists of five full range speakers and a 5.25 inch subwoofer, along with a 45-watt amplifier. The dimensions of the unit are 28″ x 14.5″ x 3.4″, which makes it a great surround soundbar system for home theatre rooms of different sizes.

Other features

All three Z-base models are equipped with PhaseCue II, which is the proprietary virtual surround sound system of ZVOX. Other features of these soundbar systems include dialog emphasis for voice clarity, output leveling, and controlled remotes feature. The controlled remotes feature enables you to use any remote to operate these soundbar systems, which are designed to respond to a number of remote controls.

Each of these models comes with two analog audio inputs, one optical digital input, a front panel analog stereo input for connecting portable devices like the iPod, and one coaxial digital input.
